What to bring for a motorcycle holiday in Italy?
First you found the best Motorcycle Rental Company in Tuscany: us, then you chose the perfect motorcycle for you, now you need to pack.
When you are planning a motorcycle holiday, there are some essential items you’ll want to bring along to make the most of your trip. Here’s a list of tips from our personal experience:
- A good quality motorcycle helmet: This is an absolute must for any motorcycle rider, and it’s especially important when traveling in a foreign country where you may be unfamiliar with the roads and traffic laws. Make sure your helmet meets the European safety standards. If you can’t bring your helmet, you can rent one from us, it will never be like bringing your own, but it will do the job.
- Protective clothing: In addition to a helmet, it’s a good idea to bring protective clothing such as gloves, boots, motorcycle pants and jacket. This will help keep you safe in case of an accident and will also help protect you from the elements. In our shop you’ll be able to rent gloves and jacket with protection.
- Maps and a GPS: Even if you’re using a GPS on your phone, it’s a good idea to bring physical maps of the areas you’ll be traveling through. This will give you a backup in case your phone dies or you lose service.
- Rain gear: check the weather forecast before coming to Tuscany and in case of chance of rain, make sure you take your rain gear with you.
- Money and documents: Make sure to bring enough cash and credit cards to cover your expenses on the trip, as well as copies of important documents like your passport and motorcycle license.
- Action cam: do you love showing your holiday videos to your friends? Bring your Go-pro, attach it to the helmet and make sure you don’t lose any detail.
- Soft bag: in my opinion this is very important. Bring with you 2 soft bags (like the ones for the gym) where you can put all your clothes for your tour, that you can fit into the motorcycle cases. This way every time you get to your hotel, you don’t need to carry the heavy motorcycle cases, just your light and easy soft-bag!
- Clothes: keep it simple and basic, bring only the most important things. It’s a good idea to bring soft shoes that will fit everywhere.
With these items packed and ready to go, you’ll be well-prepared for a memorable and enjoyable motorcycle holiday in Italy.
